One of the two top units in the One Dalton luxury tower in Boston’s Back Bay has sold for a sky-high price of $34 million.

At 7,557 square feet across floors 60 and 61, that works out to $4,499.14 per square foot for unit 6102.

The sale closed Jan. 10, according to information in the Suffolk Registry of Deeds. No mortgage was recorded for the property.

The unit is listed in the building’s master deed as a shell, meaning few, if any, rooms have been laid out, leaving it open for the buyer’s imagination to run wild.

Campion & Co. was the exclusive listing brokerage for all the condominiums in One Dalton. The buyer’s identity, however, is a trust.
