Online furniture retailer Wayfair has leased 170,000 square feet at The Offices at Copley Place in Boston, adding to the 105,000 square feet that it leased last year.
The company, which has more than 1,600 employees, will relocate from 177 Huntington Ave. in June.
The new offices are triple the size of the company’s current headquarters, to accommodate Wayfair’s rapid expansion, CEO Niraj Shah said in a statement. Wayfair had revenues of $915 million in fiscal year 2013, a 55 percent growth rate.
At year’s end, Wayfair had 1,500 employees in Boston; New York; Ogden, Utah; Hebron, Ky.; Galway, Ireland; London; Berlin; and Sydney.
The Offices at Copley Place are owned by Simon Property Group of Indianapolis and contain 845,000 square feet of class A office space in four towers. Transwestern RBJ represented both parties in the transaction.
