Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development

The state Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development has named a new chief economist after 10 years without one. Mahesh Ramachandran was previously a cofounder and chief economist at Smart Growth Economics, specializing in workforce housing and economic development solutions for the state’s Gateway Cities.

The Greater Boston Association of Realtors

The Greater Boston Association of Realtors named its Realtor of the Year: Melrose-based Leading Edge Real Estate agent Alison Socha. The association also announced several other awards:

  • Rising Star awards for Kelly Horn, an agent with Lamacchia Realty in Waltham, Krista Matthews, an agent with Lamacchia Realty in Woburn, and Max Perkins, an agent with William Raveis Realty in Boston.
  • Andrew F. Hickey Distinguished Service Award for Melody Skye Roloff, an agent with Premier Realty Group in Reading.
  • Affiliate Member of the Year Award for Jordan Weiner, founding partner and president of JCW Title LLC, in Bedford.

Monson Savings Bank 

Monson Savings Bank has promoted Kylie E. LaPlante to assistant vice president and business development officer.

The bank also announced that Heather Arbour, BSA officer and compliance manager, and Catherine Rioux, portfolio manager, have successfully graduated from the New England School for Financial Studies at Babson College.

North Brookfield Savings Bank 

North Brookfield Savings Bank announced the promotions of Joseph Deady to digital services manager and fraud analyst and and Kaitlyn Malin to operations specialist.

The Peabody Cos. 

Braintree-based real estate and property management firm The Peabody Cos. has hired Kerry Anne Dervil as a senior property manager. Dervil comes to the company after a stint managing properties with First Realty Management.

Boston-based RODE Architects has promoted Jonathan Quinn to associate.

William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty

Connecituct-based William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty announced two new agents had joined its Great Barrington brokerage: Stephen Schoenfeld and Joanna Szwyd. Szwyd was previously an associate broker at Stone House Properties.

WinnCompanies

Boston-based WinnCompanies announced it had promoted Trevor Samios to senior vice president of its new, stand-alone resident services department, to be called COnnected Communities. The resident services function had previously been housed under WinnResidential’s operational and support services department.
