Melissa Soto has joined the bank as vice president and portfolio manager. Soto will support the commercial banking team at bankESB in maintaining and growing relationships, performing financial analyses and providing input to the loan decision process.

 

Bay Colony Development

Bay Colony Development announced that President and CEO Mary Mansfield was elected to serve a second term as the National Association of Development Companies’ chairman. Mansfield has been with Bay Colony for 31 years, as was recently promoted to president of the organization in June. She is also the 2015 recipient of the Small Business Administration’s Financial Services Champion Award for New England.

Braintree Cooperative Bank

Braintree Cooperative Bank announced that Jane Barry has joined the bank as a mortgage loan originator. In this role, Barry will meet with customers to assess their needs toward purchasing homes or refinancing existing mortgages, and guide them through the process. Barry previously worked at Crescent Credit Union as a mortgage originator and at TD Bank as a bank manager.

 

Charles River Bank

Charles River Bank announced that two employees have been elected assistant vice presidents by the board of directors. Laura Peterson was elected to assistant vice president and information systems manager and Suzanne Broyles was elected to assistant vice president and compliance director.

 

Colliers International

Colliers International of Boston hired Evan Gallagher as Cambridge advisor and director of its life sciences team. Gallagher has worked with MIT Lincoln Labs, Vedanta Biosciences, WAVE Life Sciences, Kala Pharmaceuticals and Emulate Bio.

 

Fidelity Bank

Fidelity Bank has promoted James Notaro to vice president of deposit operations and information manager. Formerly an assistant vice president, Notaro will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall daily activities of the department. He will work closely with the team to enhance the bank’s use of technology, information and platforms to improve overall operational delivery and client service. The bank also promoted Jenn Leger to vice president and cash management operations manager. Leger will focus on enhancing its innovative commercial banking products and services.

 

Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción

CEO Vanessa Calderón-Rosado has been selected to the Federal Reserve Board’s Community Advisory Council. She will serve a three-year term for this committee, which advises the governing body of the Federal Reserve System. Calderón-Rosado will be an integral part of a team charged with providing thoughtful counsel and strategic recommendations to the Board on relevant policy matters and emerging issues of interest, particularly as it relates to the concerns of low-and moderate-income populations.

 

Skanska USA

Skanska USA Commercial Development today announced the following changes to its national real estate development team:

  • Robert Ward will take on the newly created COO position for Skanska USA commercial development. As COO, Ward will join the company’s deal review committee as a permanent member of the risk management team, which reviews all of the organization’s investments. He will also focus on driving Skanska’s corporate initiatives and will oversee the group’s newly centralized professional services support team, which includes sustainability, communications and three new positions in marketing, innovation and safety.
  • Christopher Westley joins the team as vice president of marketing for Skanska USA commercial development. In this new role, Westley will focus on elevating the Skanska brand in customer-facing marketing materials and helping leadership develop customer-centric marketing strategies to support land acquisition, tenant leasing and property divestment.
  • Ryan Salvas joins the Skanska USA commercial development team as the director of innovation, which will bring state-of-the-art practices, technologies and methodologies to the group. Salvas brings 10 years of experience as an architect, and is an educator and a building technologist focused on sustainability, fabrication processes, big data and innovative project delivery methods.
  • Jason Timmerman has been promoted to director of environmental, health and safety for Skanska USA commercial development, a position that will elevate the safety function within the commercial development business unit by further educating employees about safety in design, hazard recognition and how to promote jobsite safety.

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff

Marla Engel has been named an environmental planning manager in the Boston office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization. In her new position, Engel will lead the environmental planning practice for New England. In this role, Engel will prepare environmental review documents; obtain federal, state and local environmental permits and clearances for transportation projects; and act as project manager on large environmental and transportation projects throughout New England.
