Boston Community Capital

Susan Rivers has been appointed chief communications officer at Boston Community Capital, a national nonprofit with over $1 billion in investments dedicated to creating housing, jobs and opportunities in low-income communities. In this newly created role, she and her team collaborate with various BCC departments to lead an integrated communications strategy that promotes new investment initiatives, grows existing businesses and connects BCC with national conversations about trends and best practices in community development, investment, financing and public policy.

 

Canton Co-operative Bank

Jennifer James has joined Canton Co-operative Bank community bank as a teller. James was previously with Sovereign Bank as a teller, head teller and commercial teller. She was also with The Bank of Canton as a commercial teller.

 

Cape Cod Five

Cape Cod Five announced three promotions in the bank’s trust and asset management department:

  • Alison Benz Czuchra, vice president, has been promoted to chief fiduciary officer. Benz Czuchra joined Cape Cod Five in 2011 and has 30 years of experience in wealth management and fiduciary services. Prior to joining the bank, she served as vice president and manager of estate settlement and trust administration at a regional financial institution.
  • Debra Anderson has been promoted to vice president and estate officer. Anderson joined the bank in 2013 and has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, including significant experience specializing in estate and trust administration and building client relationships. Prior to joining Cape Cod Five, she worked for a regional financial institution.
  • Additionally, Jennifer Bouthillier, vice president, was promoted to senior wealth management officer. Bouthillier joined the bank in 2009 and has over 20 years of financial services experience. Her prior experience includes client relationship management, coordinating investments and tax planning and trust services.

 

Colliers International

Jessica Sawyer has rejoined the Boston office of Colliers International as executive vice president of operations. Reporting to the CEO, she is responsible for all operational activities of the firm including finance and accounting, talent management, research, marketing, technology and office services. Her priorities include strategic planning, operational excellence and employee experience. Sawyer rejoins Colliers after five years in corporate real estate, first as the senior director of real estate portfolio strategy and planning at Fidelity Investments and then as part of the talent and enterprise services team at Liberty Mutual, where she oversaw delivery of real estate, safety, business continuity and other administrative services for the U.S. consumer markets business unit.

 

Grand Coast Capital Group

Bryan Joyce and Christopher Raleigh have joined the commercial lending team at Grand Coast Capital Group, a Boston-based real estate investment and private lending firm. As senior commercial loan officer, Joyce is responsible for originating loans for Grand Coast Capital products and expanding the broker platform. Raleigh, as senior processor/closer, is responsible for processing timely closings as well as production and pipeline management.

 

Jack Conway Commercial

Attorney, real estate investor and business owner Craig Shames has joined the team at Jack Conway Commercial. Shames will specialize in serving the sales, leasing and development needs of Boston’s burgeoning Seaport area, as well as the communities of Newton, Wellesley, Weston and Wayland. A former assistant district attorney and assistant attorney general for the commonwealth of Massachusetts, Shames is leaving the legal field to work for the Norwell-based Conway Commercial Group. Shames serves as chairman of the board of his South End condo association and as a managing member of Seekaytee LLC Real Estate Investment Trust. He has founded and led two realty groups and a law office, and is the former chief legal counsel for Gentle Dental of New England.

 

North Brookfield Savings Bank

Tina Allen and Kimberly Brown have joined North Brookfield Savings Bank as branch managers. Allen will be responsible for ensuring customers received the best service possible and communicating available products options that would best serve their needs. In addition, she will be responsible for opening accounts, scheduling and the supervision of the Ware branch teller line to make certain it is operating efficiently. Allen previously served as a branch manager for North Brookfield Savings Bank’s Belchertown and Ware locations from 2013 to 2015. Brown will manage the day-to-day operations of the branch including overseeing the teller line, scheduling and account opening. She will lead by example, work to provide the best customer service, build relationships and offer support to the local community. Brown most recently served as assistant branch manager of Webster Five Cents Savings Bank Worcester Branch, where she managed the branch staff and overall operations.

 

Nutter

Matthew P. Doring has joined Boston-based law firm Nutter as a partner in its corporate and transactions department. Doring focuses his practice on corporate finance, commercial lending and tax-exempt financing, and all aspects of business law. Doring has extensive experience advising lenders and borrowers in senior, second lien, equipment financing and subordinated debt transactions, including advising financial institutions in their syndications and participations. He also represents manufacturers, real estate investors and developers on a wide range of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, contract negotiations, partnership agreements and corporate governance.

 

Polish National Credit Union

Martha M. Rickson has joined Polish National Credit Union as assistant vice president and retail sales administrator. Rickson has over 37 years of retail and commercial banking experience. She has received a Western Mass Peer Choice Award and a Customer Service Award with national recognition by “Your Money.” She has also developed an ongoing “Refer a Friend” program as a sales tool for attracting new retail business and initiated a financial awareness education program for graduating high school seniors. She also served as treasurer of the Wilbraham Chamber of Commerce.

Ira J. Deitsch has been named Posternak Blankstein & Lund’s new managing partner. Deitsch has been with Posternak for over 30 years and is a member of the corporate department. As managing partner, Deitsch will work across all practice areas to continue to provide personalized client services, cultivate new business and shape Posternak’s legacy, while developing the staff and firm culture. Deitsch’s practice areas include, business counseling, mergers and acquisition, tax and trusts and estates. He handles matters for individuals, corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and other entities in both for-profit and not-for-profit contexts.

 

Sagan Realtors

Sagan Realtors recently welcomed Marla Gay to the firm. Gay will provide residential real estate services in Swampscott, Marblehead, Lynn and Nahant, as well as surrounding communities north of Boston. Gay has been working in multiple lay and professional capacities in the North Shore’s Jewish communities for 25 years. She worked at the Jewish Federation of the North Shore and then transitioned from lay leader to professional at Congregation Shirat Hayam in Swampscott as the director of congregational life.
