Boston-based residential brokerage Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Real Estate has hired Alison Howard as director of marketing. Howard was previously part of the leadership team at Zozimus, a Boston advertising agency.
Boston Preservation Alliance
The Boston Preservation Alliance announced that is executive director of nine years, Greg Galer, will be stepping down to join and lead the Association for Preservation Technology International. The Alliance’s board of directors has appointed Alison Frazee, an eight-year alliance veteran, acting executive director.

Charles River Bank
Medway-based Charles River Bank named Derek Plourde as its new president and CEO, replacing retiring Jack Hamilton. Plourde was previously the bank’s executive vice president and COO.
Country Bank
Ware-based Country Bank has hired Shane Elder as a vice president and business banking loan officer on its commercial lending division. Elder was previously the leader of Milford Federal Bank’s commercial lending team.
