Fairhaven-based Alltrust Credit Union has hired Gerald “Jerry” Rego as its new vice president of business banking and commercial loan officer. He was most recently a vice president and senior commercial loan officer with Bristol County Savings Bank.

BankFive

Fall River-based BankFive has hired Jason “Jay” Quinlan as its new vice president of business development. Quinlan was most recently a business banking relationship manager at Citizens and a branch manager at Washington Trust.

Berkshire Bank

Boston-based Berkshire Bank announced in a securities filing that George Bacigalupo, the bank’s senior executive vice president and head of commercial banking, has transitioned to a new role effective Jan. 1 as director of commercial/enterprise sales management ahead of his retirement in December 2023. The bank said a national search is underway for its next head of commercial banking.

Cherrytree Group

Melina Ambrosino, president of the Newton-based commercial real estate tax credit consultancy Cherrytree Group, was elected as the first female president of the real estate development organization Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast, a group of government officials and real estate industry leaders who meet regularly to compare best practices in the sustainable redevelopment of brownfields and advocate for the practice.

City of Boston

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu appointed Robert Terrell as executive director of the city’s Office of Fair Housing and Equity. The existing office, which is within Wu’s equity and inclusion cabinet, prevents discrimination and ensures equitable access to housing in Boston. Terrell most recently served as the fair housing, equity and inclusion officer for the Boston Housing Authority’s Office of Civil Rights.

Dedham Savings Bank

Dedham Savings Bank announced several promotions:

  • Peter Hughes to senior vice president and sales manager
  • Anthony Brown to vice president of commercial lending
  • Christopher Gleason to vice president and loan officer
  • Elizabeth Paolini to vice president and loan officer
  • Avalon McDaniel to assistant vice president and loan production officer

The bank’s Senior Vice President & Team Leader for Commercial Lending James Horrigan has been named “Banker of the Year” by SEED (South Eastern Economic Development) Corp.

Haverhill Bank 

Haverhill Bank announced it had recently promoted CFO Charlette M. Weeden to executive vice president and Jodie A. Pickles from assistant branch manager to branch manager of the bank’s main office in downtown Haverhill.

Maloney Properties 

Wellesley-based Maloney Properties was honored with the annual DEI Company Award by the Institute of Real Estate Management Boston Metropolitan Chapter No. 4.

The company’s senior property manager Kimberly Parker was presented with the chapter’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Individual Award .

Massachusetts Biotechnology Council

Kendalle Burlin O’Connell has officially taken over atop the influential Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, the lobby group for the state’s life science industry, adding the chief executive officer title to her position as president.

Monson Savings Bank

Monson Savings Bank announced the promotion of Carolyn Balicki to assistant vice president and retail onboarding officer.

The Peabody Cos.

Braintree-based real estate and property management firm The Peabody Cos. announced that Vice President of Administration Doreen Donovan was the 2022 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Institute of Real Estate Management Boston Metropolitan Chapter No. 4.

Carolina Shol, a residential manager at the company, was also honored by the group as its Accredited Residential Manager of the Year.
