Carmen Sylvester, president and CEO of Fairhaven-based Alltrust Credit Union, was given an honorary doctorate by Rhode Island’s Bryant University.

Berkshire Bank

Boston-based Berkshire Bank has hired Andrew Plumridge as an executive vice president and chief internal audit officer. Before Berkshire, he was senior vice president and general auditor at Boston Private, which was bought by Silicon Valley Bank in 2021.

Cambridge Trust Co.

Cambridge Trust Co. has hired four business bankers: Jason Rich as a vice president and senior relationship manager, Ellen Soucy and Jerod Colley as vice presidents and relationship managers and Edson Bueno as an assistant vice president and relationship manager. Rich was formerly with Silicon Valley Bank and will focus on Massachusetts markets. Soucy was formerly with Bangor Savings Bank and will focus on New Hampshire markets. Colley was previously at Santander Bank and will focus on Massachusetts markets and Bueno was previously at First Republic bank and will focs on Massachusetts markets.

Cape Cod 5

Hyannis-based bask Cape Cod 5 announced it had hired Tyrone Jefferson as a mortgage loan officer serving Rockland and Brockton.

Caritas Communities 

Homelessness service organization Caritas Communities announced it had promoted Amy Meneely to run its fundraising and communications department.

CCIAOR

The Cape Cod and Islands Association of Realtors announced its annual slate of honorrees:

• Immediate past president Lauren Clements, owner of boutique brokerage Cove Road Real Estate, was named 2023 Realtor of the Year.
• McDevitt Realtors cofounder Debbie McDevitt Hays was honored with the association’s Charles F. Lockhart Distinguished Service Award.
• Realtor and Brewster Planning Board vice chair Amanda Bebrin was given the association’s “Good Neighbor” Award/
• Guild Mortgage Co. was named the CCAIOR affiliate of the year.

Central One FCU

Shrewsbury-based Central One Federal Credit Union has promoted Vaneetha Kannan to manage its Northborough branch.

M&T Bank 

Buffalo-based M&T Bank announced a slate of leadership changes in its commercial bank:

• Tim Gallagher has been hired as head of commercial real estate. He was previously at Morgan Stanley and Annaly Capital.
• Hugh Giorgio,a 20-year veteran of M&T’s Investment Bank, has been named head of investment banking.
• Jeff Carpenter has been named head of specialty and corporate banking.

Merrimack Valley Credit Union

Lawrence-based Merrimack Valley Credit Union announced deposit operations ACH specialist Jennifer Aldowas recently awarded the New England Automated Clearing House (NEACH) Rising Star Award. The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the field of payments.

Institution for Savings

The Newburyport Institution for Savings announced it had promoted Mark Zink to senior lender and head of its commercial lending team.

North Easton Savings Bank 

North Easton Savings Bank has hired Jillian Wagner as vice president and senior commercial lender. She was previously a member of Cambridge Trust Co.’s commercial lending group.

Pentucket Bank

Haverhill’s Pentucket Bank named Eric G. Leuteritz as its president. Leuteritz will report to Jonathan Dowst, who will remain CEO. Leuteritz is a 13-year veteran of the bank and is being promoted as part of the bank’s holding company merger with Newburyport Bank.
