Bristol County Savings Bank

Bristol County Savings Bank, based in Taunton, announced it had elevated Chris Alves to vice president of mortgage operations and sales support manager, and Erin Riendeau to vice president and executive assistant/paralegal.

City of Boston

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu announced that Tania Del Rio will become the city’s new commissioner of the Inspectional Services Department, a key actor in permitting developments, overseeing their construction and inspecting existing buildings like multifamily assets. Del Rio is a former City Council candidate and currently heads the Wu administration’s Coordinated Response Team tackling the substance abuse and homelessness problems at Mass & Cass.

While Del Rio is taking over from longtime commissioner Sean Lydon, Lydon will stay on as senior advisor for construction, managing high priority projects under construction, providing guidance on permitting and assisting with navigating the permit process for high-priority projects under construction.

Caritas Communities

Caritas Communities, a nonprofit provider of low-income housing and services with a mission to prevent homelessness, has named Marie Morreale of Corcoran Jennison Management and Jay Szymanski of The Architectural Team to its board of directors.

Eastern Bank

Boston-based Eastern Bank announced that board chair and CEO Bob Rivers will be honored as a “Champion of Education and the Community” at Massasoit Community College’s third-annual Evening of Champions fundraiser on March 23 in Brockton.

ERA Key Realty Services 

Northbridge brokerage ERA Key Realty Services announced that Brooke Funari has joined its Whitinsville office and Roy R. Jones II has joined its Billerica office, both as Realtors.

Federal Reserve Bank of Boston

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston announced that it had hired Ed O’Connor as senior vice president in its financial support office, which manages the entire Federal Reserve System’s operating budget, planning, analysis and accounting activities. He was previously chief financial officer at Scotiabank.

Hancock Assoc.

Danvers engineering firm Hancock Assoc. announced Scott R. Jalbert has been promoted to director of surveying.

Lee Bank

Lee Bank said its veteran commercial lending executive and Senior Vice President Bruce Marzotto will be reducing his role to an advisor and a voting member of the bank’s loan committee. In preparation for Marzotto’s retirement, Jason McLaughlin has assumed the role of senior vice president and chief credit officer.

Northstar

Cambridge commercial real estate project management, development management and advisory firm Northstar announced four promotions: Andy Touchette to vice president, Jim Hogan to associate vice president, Chris Guilmet to senior project manager and Nicholas Dunn to project manager.

The Realtor Association of Pioneer Valley announced a new CEO: David Belew. He comes to the association after four years as the executive officer of the Upstate Alliance of Realtors in Fort Wayne, Indiana,

Boston-based RODE Architects announced five promotions:

Workers Credit Union 

Littleton-based Workers Credit Union hired Mackenson Massé as assistant vice president and area manager of the credit union’s locations in Lowell, Westford, Hudson, Shrewsbury and Worcester, and promoted Fernando Rico as director of retail branches. Massé was previously banking center director and assistant vice president at Webster Bank in Boston.
