Gov. Charlie Baker has announced the second half of the state’s second phase of economic reopening will begin Monday, June 22.

That means office capacity will increase to 50 percent of pre-COVID-19 levels, and close-contact personal services like nail salons and indoor dining can resume operations, along with retail stores’ dressing rooms, which will be open by appointment, only.

Baker urged companies to keep staff working remotely as long as they can.

“If people can keep teleworking we can keep people off the T for a little longer,” Baker said.

Baker said all Massachusetts resident had an obligation to not crowd the MBTA to reduce risks to commuters who have to physically be in their workplaces.
