After a series of temporary pop-up shops at the Boston Design Center, a Moroccan home decor retailer will open a new pop-up store in Jamestown’s Newbury Collection next month.

Marrakech Designs Ltd. sells custom-designed and handmade Moroccan home decor including lighting, carpets, mosaic tiles and beauty accessories. The new location will occupy a 3-story brownstone at 179 Newbury St. from September through March 2019.

In a statement, Marrakech Designs Principal Stephanie Rudloe said the shop will recreate the atmosphere of a Moroccan souk and sell a variety of goods imported from the Moroccan commerce center including Beni Ourain rugs, babouche slippers and Moroccan lanterns.

179 Newbury St. is part of Jamestown’s 28-property Newbury Collection, which includes over 219,000 square feet of retail, office and residential space in Back Bay.

Founded in 1998, Marrakech Designs is affiliated with Imports from Marrakesh Ltd., which has a permanent store at Chelsea Market in Manhattan.
