The Brookline Development Corp. filed a project notification form for 375 Market St. in Brighton. The plan calls for a 4-story mixed-use complex with a 58-space underground parking garage.
The estimated $15 million project includes 3,567 square feet of ground floor retail with 39 residential units on the upper floors, including one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The plan also calls for space for 12 bicycles. The proposed project would enhance the Market Street streetscape approaching Brighton Center where there is currently a large asphalt driveway with a one-story commercial building, according to the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
The project would also provide additional housing in the neighborhood to serve nearby employment centers including New Balance and WGBH, which employ approximately 2,400 workers, according information provided by the developer. The development team includes Brookline Development Corp. and architecture firm O’Sullivan Architects.
