Connecticut-based William Raveis Real Estate has revamped its website. The new design includes bigger, more prominent photos, improved search capabilities and individual agent sub-sites.
"When we first launched raveis.com in 1995, our website was unlike anything else in the industry," Bill Raveis, founder, said in a statement. "We recognized that to stay on top, we had to be constantly innovating to stay one step ahead. The latest iteration of raveis.com has given us that advantage. Our team worked on this website for over a year, drawing inspiration from all industries – we wanted raveis.com to be a top website in general, not just in real estate."
Raveis did not immediately respond to a reporter’s question about when the site had last had a major revamp.
The agent pages allow site visitors to view agents’ current listings, as well as search the site while staying on the page, making it easier for agents to cull leads. The sites also allow agents to add testimonials from past clients, personal photos, videos and links to the agent’s personal social media sites.
The new site allows visitors to use lifestyle features as search criteria, such as selecting for waterfront homes or adult-only communities. They can also create and save lists of favorite properties.
The site also includes new access to market data, including a market conditions forecasting tool.
"In recent years, we’ve noticed a shift in how people consume content online," Raveis said in a statement. "Photos and maps have replaced lists and text. This shift is highlighted throughout raveis.com."
