The operator of two restaurants at the 500 Ocean Ave. apartments on Revere Beach is expanding his relationship with developer Redgate with plans to open a 220-seat restaurant at its new Ryder complex this summer.

Michael Aldi’s TYDE will serve up contemporary American fare, drinks and an exclusive “Ryde the Waves” pale ale from BearMoose Brewery, Boston-based developer Redgate announced. The executive chef, Greg Reeves, owns Viale in Cambridge.

TYDE will include a four-season lounge with garage doors opening onto the boardwalk of the 200-unit Ryder complex, located at 21 Revere Beach Boulevard. The restaurant will include a 100-seat outdoor dining area.

Aldi operates the Dryft restaurant and Fine Line Taproom at Redgate’s 500 Ocean Ave. apartment community.

“We are taking advantage of the beachfront scene to create a vibrant new atmosphere with the goal of revitalizing the sidewalk, and bringing back the culture and excitement of everyday foot traffic,” Aldi said in a statement.
