Toronto-based outdoors retailer Roots has opened two more Massachusetts locations, including its first “Roots Cabin” format store in the U.S.

The 4,000-square-foot store in the Natick Mall is designed to evoke the look of the Algonquin Provincial Park. It includes a customization shop for leather bags and jackets, a “celebrity art wall” featuring Roots sponsors and fitting rooms with artwork of New England landscapes.

Roots kicked off its Massachusetts expansion on June 15 with a 3,250-square-foot gallery-style retail space on Newbury Street in Boston. A 5,000-square-foot store opened in late June at Marketstreet Lynnfield, also selling Roots’ selection of apparel, leather goods, footwear and accessories.

Founded in 1973, Roots operates 122 stores in the U.S. and Canada and 30 partner-operated stores in China. During the fiscal year ending Feb. 3, Roots reported total sales of $326.1 million, up 15.7 percent from the previous year. Comparable sales rose 12.1 percent. The company estimated fiscal 2019 sales of $410 to 450 million.
