Robert Ross has been appointed as the new chief of the Business and Labor Bureau in Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley’s office. He succeeds Jennifer Stark, who was appointed to the Marlboro District Court.
"We’re thrilled to have Bob join our team as he brings a strong depth of knowledge concerning economic development here in Massachusetts," Attorney General Martha Coakley said in a statement. "Bob’s experience will serve him well as we continue our mission of ensuring economic fairness and working with the business community to help our economy grow."
Ross has most recently served as Senate President Therese Murray’s chief policy advisor. Prior to that, he was budget director and legal counsel for the Senate Committee on Ways and Means and a legal counsel to the Massachusetts Division of Insurance and State Rating Bureau. He has also worked at John Hancock Life Insurance Co. in Boston.
