Chef Jason Santos will bring the second location of his Buttermilk & Bourbon concept to Watertown’s Arsenal Yards in 2021.

The Back Bay restaurateur leased 3,000 square feet for the New Orleans-inspired restaurant at the 1 million-square-foot mixed-use development by Boylston Properties, which includes 11 announced restaurant tenants.

The Malden native and “Bar Rescue” consultant plans a menu of Southern cuisine including crawfish croquettes, short ribs and buttermilk fried chicken along with retail sales of his barbecue sauces and cookbook.

Santos’ latest venture joins a lineup of new restaurants already open at Arsenal Yards including Shake Shack, Chipotle, Ben & Jerry’s, City Works Eatery and Pour House, and Frank Pepe’s Pizzeria Napoletana. Future arrivals include Condesa Restaurante & Tequila Bar, Tori Jiro, Kura Sushi, Pokeworks and Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh.
