A two-story, approximately 24,000-square-foot medical office building at 56 New Driftway in Scituate has been sold for approximately $3.36 million.
Major tenants in the building include Harbor Medical, South Shore Women’s Health and Healthcare South, according to a statement from Quincy-based The Conrad Group, which brokered the sale.
"Seven years ago, the property was in need of major renovations," Conrad’s Peter Cooney said in a statement. "We sold the building to Callahan & Hoffman who made the improvements and stabilized the property. The building has maintained a very high level of occupancy since."
The buyer was not disclosed. According to records obtained from The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman, the building was purchased by Atlantic-Scituate Realty late last year. The property, built in 1974, was assessed in 2011 at slightly less than $2.8 million, according to The Warren Group.
"The new buyer was attracted to the asset because of its stability, strong tenant roster and its potential for long term growth," added Jim McEvoy of The Conrad Group.
