The 80-unit Trac 75 apartment complex in Allston has passed the 75 percent leasing threshold in just over three months on the edge of one of Boston’s most-watched development clusters.
The project, a joint venture between The Grossman Cos. of Quincy and The Waypoint Cos. of Boston, is located at 75 Braintree St. east of the 1.8-million-square-foot Boston Landing development and Stop & Shop Supermarket Co.’s 11-acre retail property where a 1,000-unit multifamily development is proposed.
Resident amenities at Trac 75 include an on-site Zipcar station, roof deck, fitness center, theater/media center, pet washing station and enclosed parking. Available units range from studios listed at $1,955 a month to a three-bedroom, two-bath unit at $4,495.
Marketing began on May 1 and the first move-ins took place Aug. 1. Modular construction techniques compressed the construction schedule and provided energy efficiency and sound mitigation benefits, Grossman Cos. Director of Asset Management Paul Dawson said in a statement. CTA Construction Managers of Waltham was the general contractor.
May’s opening of the new Boston Landing station on the MBTA commuter rail’s Framingham-Worcester line, which provides commutes to Back Bay and South Stations in 10 and 16 minutes, respectively, has revitalized the neighborhood, Waypoint Principal Ed Champy said in a statement.
