New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his wife, Brazilian beauty Gisele Bundchen, may have taken their Back Bay penthouse off the market, but The Teller hears that the lovely supermodel has been spotted touring homes in exclusive Brookline neighborhoods recently.
Brady and Bundchen have apparently decided to take a break from trying to sell their home on Beacon Street, the Boston Herald reported last week. The couple was seeking $10.9 million when they put their luxury residence on the market back in October.
The good-looking duo was reportedly eyeing a $10 million mansion just off Route 9 in Brookline owned by former KISS 108 owner Richie Balsbaugh, but that deal fell through.
Needless to say, if Brady and Bundchen move to Brookline, they’ll be neighbors with lots of influential people. The town isn’t for the average Joe. The median price for a single-family home in Brookline hovered around $1.6 million at the beginning of this year. About 23 homes and condos with $1 million-plus price tags have been sold in Brookline in the last three months, according to The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.
House hunters with Champagne tastes are drawn to Brookline’s Chestnut Hill neighborhood – home to CEOs, professional athletes and other VIPs. Perhaps Brady and Bunchden might be interested in a sprawling 20-room estate on Lee Street with an indoor pool pavilion is available for anyone willing to shell out $15.75 million. The property, listed by Terrence Maitland of Landvest, is owned by Ian C. Ferguson, according to records from the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds.
