Darlene Sodano has been named the 2009 Realtor of the year by the North Central Massachusetts Association of Realtors (NCMAR).

Darlene Sodano, broker of Sodano Real Estate in Townsend, has been a member of NCMAR for more than 11 years. Sodano has served on the finance, public relations and member services committees and currently serves on the professional standards, government affairs and executive committees, NCMAR board of directors and charitable foundation board of directors.

At the state level her participation includes being a member of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors’ professional standards, government affairs, education, and MAR forms committees. She is a MAR director, attending all central region caucuses and MAR board of directors meetings.

At the national level, Sodano attended the 2008 and 2009 NAR conventions serving both years as NCMAR’s representative to the delegate body. She has completed the e-pro and loss mitigation certification courses and has earned designations as a certified buyer representative, senior real estate specialist and as a graduate of the Realtor Institute.
