A topping-off ceremony was held Tuesday at Troy Boston, a $185 million mixed-use complex including 378 apartments, retail space and restaurants at 55 Traveler St. in Boston’s South End.
Boston Mayor Martin Walsh and executives from Gerding Edlen, Normandy Real Estate Partners and National Real Estate Advisors attended the ceremony placing the final beam on the complex built by Suffolk Construction of Boston.
Residences in the two towers designed by ADD Inc. will include recycled wood floors and Nest thermostats. Common area amenities will include indoor and outdoor pet washing stations, a pool lined with cabanas, rooftop terrace with fire pits, billiards room, yoga room and fitness studio. The LEED Gold-designated building contains an internal power plant that cogenerates electricity, hot water and heat.
Pre-leasing will begin in August.
