A recently renovated Andover property secured a lease with a Woburn-based instrument manufacturer for a new office and R&D facility.

SciAps will relocate to 30,000 square feet within 6 Riverside Drive, a 77,000-square-foot facility owned by Ciminelli Real Estate Corp.

SciAps current U.S. headquarters are located at 7 Constitution Way in Woburn. The company’s equipment, including portable instruments used to measure elements, are used in a variety of industries from aerospace to oil and gas.

“Proximity to other companies on the cutting edge of New England’s tech boom is a great and strategic opportunity for our team. Andover has become fertile ground for high-tech companies, and this location will help us further enhance and expand our capabilities and drive the business of powerful and innovative technologies forward,” SciAps CEO Don Sacket said in a statement.

Ciminelli acquired the property in November 2021 for $12.4 million.

JLL represented SciAps and ownership in the lease negotiation.
