After a virtual tour of the space, a three-year-old mass spectrometry equipment startup is expanding out of an incubator into its first dedicated offices at Cummings Center in Beverly.

Spectrus leased 2,400 square feet and will relocate to the new facility this summer. Founded in 2017, the company previously was based out of the nonprofit North Shore InnoVentures incubator, also located at Cummings Center.

Cummings Properties account manager Justin D’Aveta represented the landlord in its lease negotiations with Spectrus CEO Paulo Reátegui.

“Cummings Center is a great fit for us because it is a short distance from our primary customer base in Cambridge and Boston, its active life science community facilitates connections and hiring, and the lease rates are more affordable than areas closer to the city,” Spectrus President Michael Ziebell said in a statement.
