Law firm Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian LLP of Waltham is the latest suburban office tenant relocating to Boston’s Seaport District.

The firm has signed a 10-year lease at One Marina Park Drive on Fan Pier, according to Boston-based developer The Fallon Co. Gunderson Dettmer will occupy 27,000 square feet on the ninth floor beginning in September.

Gunderson Dettmer has 170 attorneys at offices in Waltham and six other cities worldwide. It specializes in representing start-ups and venture capital firms.

"Fan Pier is at the center of the Boston ecosystem that fosters innovation in technology and the life sciences," Jay Hachigian, a founding partner at Gunderson Dettmer, said in a statement.

Two of the firm’s clients – venture capital firms Battery Ventures and Polaris Partners – previously leased 28,000 square feet and 16,000 square feet, respectively, of office space at One Marina Park Drive. Battery Ventures opened its new Fan Pier office in December, while Polaris Partners will begin to occupy its new office in the second quarter and plans to complete the move in 2016.
