The death of George Floyd in Minneapolis on Memorial Day sparked massive protests around the country and around the world against racial injustice.

While Floyd was only the latest in a long line of African Americans who died in police custody, and by no means the first time in recent years such an incident has spurred massive protests, the event appears to have galvanized many to act, including in the business community. Business leaders and even brands previously unwilling to wade into social issues have responded saying racial inequalities must be addressed, from police abuses through to even larger economic issues.
