Washington Trust Wealth Management recently hired two key senior executives for its Wellesley-based Weston Financial division.

Jake W. Filoon III, of Needham, has been named president and chief operating officer and leads the firm and its client services teams. Among his responsibilities, Filoon oversees all of Weston Financial’s business activities, including sales, client services and operations. He joins Washington Trust after spending more than 20 years with Bank of America, where he held various wealth management and senior corporate roles.

James P. Scanlan, of North Kingstown, R.I., has been hired as director and planning officer and is responsible for business development and financial planning for the firm. He joins Weston Financial with more than 25 years experience in the financial services industry and was a partner in an independent wealth management firm where he specialized in estate and business succession planning, and asset management for owners of closely held companies and high net worth individuals.
