Workbar’s newest suburban coworking center will include a podcast studio and telepresence room equipped with smart TV monitors designed to blend the in-person and virtual work environments.

The Boston-based coworking center operator leased 21,000 square feet at 111 Speen St. in Framingham. The co-working center will be Workbar’s 11th location, expanding its presence in the western suburbs, following the opening of its Needham location at 117 Kendrick St. in June 2020.

“Following the outstanding success of our Workbar Needham location, we knew that we needed to make the MetroWest region our next priority,” Workbar CEO Sarah Travers said in a statement.

Boston-based developers Paradigm Properties and North Colony Asset Management acquired the 117,000-square-foot office building in March for $13 million.

Workbar has existing locations in Back Bay, downtown Boston, Burlington, Cambridge, Arlington, Needham, Norwood, Salem and Woburn.
