Rockland Trust today announced it is adding two new lenders to its Waltham commercial banking team.
William H. Heald and Joseph T. Scurio were each named vice president of commercial lending and will be based at the bank’s newly expanded offices on Main Street in Waltham.
Heald joined Rockland Trust from People’s United Bank, where he worked as senior vice president of business banking for four years. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of business banking at Citizens Bank for more than 10 years. He has a master of education from Lesley University in Cambridge and a bachelor of arts from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He is also a graduate of the Massachusetts Bankers Association’s school of leadership and commercial lending program.
Scurio most recently worked as vice president and group head of East Boston Savings Bank’s commercial lending division. Previously, he worked at Everett Cooperative Bank and Danvers Bank.
He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Salem State University, and an associate’s degree in business administration from the New England College of Finance. Scurio is a retired member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard with 20 years of service, and has associate in applied science degrees in human resources and in criminal justice from the Community College of the Air Force. He serves on the board of the Peabody Tanners Little League Softball and is a former board member and treasurer of the Revere Chamber of Commerce.
These most recent additions bring Rockland Trust’s commercial banking group to more than 50 commercial lenders.
