Junior Achievement recently partnered with the investment firm T. Rowe Price to launch a new online financial education portal: Money Confident Kids.
"This partnership allows JA to use technology to extend its reach inside and outside of schools and deepen its engagement with students," Emily Neill, president of Junior Achievement of Northern New England, said in a statement.
The new web portal at www.moneyconfidentkids.com/JA was designed as a financial education resource for parents, educators and students and was funded by a grant from the T. Rowe Price Foundation. The website offers games such as The Great Piggy Bank Adventure, which the investment firm created in collaboration with Walt Disney Imagineering, that challenges players to set goals, save and spend wisely and stay ahead of inflation.
The site also features money-related crossword puzzles, word searches and quizzes, as well as a Money Glossary, designed to help teach kids as young as eight years old key financial terms.
