Lynnfield-based J.M. Electrical Co. has completed a series of upgrades to energy systems at Holyoke Community College including new air handling units, hot water pumps and variable air volume boxes in classrooms.
The project also included updating fire alarms to accommodate ceiling replacement at the three-year community college. The company worked with the state Department of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance and Energy Management and Cranston, Rhode Island-based Energy Management and Controls Systems on the project expected to reduce energy consumption.
The project is the latest in a series of large-scale installations by J.M. Electrical at development in Greater Boston including Northeastern University’s Interdisciplinary Science & Engineering Complex, Boston University’s Center for Integrated Life Sciences & Engineering and Harvard Memorial Church.
