The American Bankers Association’s (ABA) nominating committee has selected the official slate of candidates for ABA officers for election at the association’s annual convention, which includes two Massachusetts financial services executives.
The committee nominated Stephen G. Crowe, president and CEO of MountainOne Financial Partners in North Adams, to serve as treasurer and Richard E. Holbrook, chairman, president and CEO of Eastern Bank Corp. in Boston, to serve on its board.
The convention, which will be held in San Antonio Oct. 23-26, will also vote for the following nominees: chairman: Albert C. Kelly Jr., president and CEO, SpiritBank in Bristow, Okla.; chairman-elect: Matthew H. Williams, chairman and president, Gothenburg State Bank, Gothenburg, Neb.; and vice chairman: Jeff L. Plagge, president of Northwest Financial Corp. in Arnolds Park, Iowa.
Other nominees for the ABA board of directors include:
- Norman E. Beatty, chairman, president and CEO, First Hope Bank, Hope, N.J.;
- R. Daniel Blanton, president and CEO, Southeastern Bank Financial Corp., Augusta, Ga.;
- Guillermo Diaz-Rousselot, president and CEO, Continental National Bank of Miami, Miami, Fla.;
- John A. Ikard, president and CEO, FirstBank Holding Company, Lakewood, Colo.;
- Stanley D. Jenks, president and CEO, Security Savings Bank, Monmouth, Ill.;
- Todd Maclin, CEO-commercial banking and consumer and business banking, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Dallas, Texas.
In addition, the ABA board of directors unanimously approved the creation of up to three at large director positions that run concurrently with the chairman’s term. The first At Large Director approved by the Nominating Committee is F. Scott Dueser, chairman, president and CEO of First Financial Bankshares Inc. in Abilene, Texas.
