Healthcare technology innovator Abiomed has announced a major expansion of its U.S. headquarters in Danvers.
The company will lease an additional 85,000 square feet of space in a building adjacent to its current headquarters in Danvers. The added space will be dedicated to manufacturing and research. The project is expected to create approximately 100 new jobs.
The expansion was kicked off today with a commemorative event attended by Gov. Charlie Baker, Abiomed President Mike Minogue and Duane Pinto, director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
