Acella Construction Corp. recently completed a new clubhouse for Cummaquid Golf Club in Yarmouth Port worth $4.5 million.

The 14,200-square-foot project includes a formal dining room overlooking the golf course, grill-style lounge and restaurant, locker rooms, pro shop, 70-foot covered porch for outdoor dining, a board room, office and storage rooms.  The project also included extensive site work including utility upgrades, septic and landscaping.

Interior finishes include two-way field stone gas fireplace separating the dining room and lounge, extensive millwork and coffered ceilings, chandeliers, pendants, wall sconces and exterior lighting on outdoor posts.

“This project for the members of Cummaquid is a great example of a design-build collaboration that resulted in a beautiful, high quality building that met both high expectations for aesthetics while working within a realistic budget that would not place too much of a burden on the membership,” Dave Dirubbo, president of Acella, said in a statement. “The project had been discussed for five or six years, and the previous clubhouse, built in 1945, could not be rehabbed because it did not meet current building codes and handicap access requirements.”
