Boston-based Elkus Manfredi Architects will design MullenLowe Group’s new 66,000-square-foot offices at 2 Drydock Ave. to accommodate its post-pandemic hybrid workplace model.
MullenLowe employees are expected to occupy the new space this summer as the agency returns to the office following over a year of remote work during the pandemic. The office designs will enable a mix of working remotely and in the office, with capacity to accommodate up to 50 percent of the MullenLowe Group team on-site, including private spaces and multi-purpose rooms for meetings and video conferencing.
“We intentionally pursued this move to Boston’s Innovation District to provide our employees with an optimal environment where creativity, mentorship, and collaboration can flourish. While this transition came at a very challenging time for everyone, we have been lucky to be able to reimagine our workspace with a blank slate,” Kelly Fredrickson, president of MullenLowe US, said in a statement.
Along with office designs, Elkus Manfredi will provide workplace strategy services as the agency moves from 40 Broad St. to the Drydock property this summer.
The 13-story, 230,000-square-foot office tower was developed by Skanska and also signed Shell TechWorks to a 43,821-square-foot lease in 2019.
Editor’s note: This report has been updated to correct the square-footage of 2 Drydock.
