Marlborough-based collection agency American Profit Recovery contributed more than $15,000 to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks in three cities, including Boston.

Funding came from employees of the collection agency who donated more than $5,000, and $10,000 came from a percentage of the company’s September sales, according to a statement.

"This event has now become not only a tradition here at American Profit Recovery but an important part of our company culture," said Jeff DiMatteo, partner at American Profit Recovery. "Each year we see more and more involvement from our team and an excitement and passion for this cause that keeps growing."
