Talbot Middle School 6th Grade Homework Club in Fall River, which provides students with a quiet and helpful environment to do work.

Facilitated by Talbot Middle School teachers, Paul Silvia and Karen Avril, the program services about 20 to 25 students per day and meets after school on Mondays and Tuesdays. Students who are in the 7th grade that have previously participated in the Homework Club, are encouraged to come back and become peer helpers for the students currently in the program.

"Unfortunately, in these challenging economic times, schools throughout the city are faced with difficult cutbacks of after school programs. BankFive recognizes the importance that education plays in the communities in which we live and work," said Bill Eccles, BankFive president and CEO.
