Fall River-based BankFive announced that it recently promoted two of its bankers to executive vice president.

Michael W. Berube and Robert F. Collins were promoted effective in October, the bank said in a press release.

"We are extremely grateful to have such a talented executive team at BankFive, and both Michael and Robert are the kind of dedicated professionals any organization would be proud to have. They have earned our respect through continuous hard work and dedication to the bank’s mission, and I congratulate them on becoming executive vice presidents," President and CEO William Eccles said in the statement.

Berube joined BankFive in 1999 as vice president and controller and was named senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer in 2008. Berube has more than 35 years of banking experience and is a trustee of the Home For the Aged at Adams House and Bayview and an active member of the Greater Fall River YMCA.

Collins joined the bank’s commercial service department in 2004 and was named senior vice president, loan administration and special assets in 2012. His community involvement includes the Atlantis Educational Foundation and the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts.
