Bay State Savings Bank Names Alden New CEO

Worcester-based Bay State Savings Bank has appointed New Hampshire resident Peter B. Alden as its new president and CEO.

Alden has more than 25 years of community banking experience, most recently at Centrix Bank & Trust Co. He has held positions of President & CEO at both Greatwaters Bank & Trust Co. and Community Bank & Trust Co. in New Hampshire. He and his family will be relocating to the Worcester area, the bank said in a statement.

Mutually owned Bay State Savings Bank holds $297 million in assets, and operates branches in Worcester, Auburn and Holden.
