Bristol County Savings Bank recently installed this 540-pound clock in front of its soon-to-open branch in New Bedford. The soon-to-open New Bedford branch of Bristol County Savings Bank is one step closer to completion, after the recent installation of the bank’s signature exterior standing clock.

Common to all its banking offices, and an element of the bank’s corporate identity, the 540-pound clock was lifted by crane onto its post by Electric Time Co. Inc. of Medford, with the assistance of Sign Design.

The new 3,500-square-foot branch, set to open in June at 1307 Ashley Boulevard, features a modern-looking exterior similar to that of the bank’s Dartmouth office, two drive-through lanes, a drive through ATM, a café and a coin machine, the bank said.

The New Bedford branch will be the bank’s ninth in Massachusetts, and tenth overall when including a location in Pawtucket, R.I., which opened in 2001.
