Belmont Savings Bank has made a $2,000 donation to Parents of Music Students (POMS) to support the Belmont K-12 Music Program.
POMS is a nonprofit parent/community organization created to assist Belmont public schools in their efforts to offer students music education, according to a statement.
"Belmont Savings is proud to partner with Parents of Music Students to ensure that the children of Belmont are receiving one of the most vibrant tools in their education – music," said Robert Mahoney, president and CEO of Belmont Savings Bank. "Working with Parents of Music Students is one of the many creative ways we can reach out and work toward helping our community."
Belmont Savings Bank previously teamed with POMS to sponsor Sounds of the 60s, an event that featured refreshments, a raffle and music from 60s concerts like Woodstock and Monterey Pop.
