A Billerica manufacturer will relocate to the former Puma headquarters in Westford in a move that reduces its space footprint by more than half.
BTU International leased 57,000 square feet at 10 Lyberty Way. Quincy-based Jumbo Capital acquired the 130,000-square-foot building for $12.7 million in 2021 after Puma relocated to Somerville’s Assembly Row.
In June, BTU sold its 123,000-square-foot existing headquarters at 23 Esquire Road in Billerica for $20.6 million to Boston-based Marcus Partners.
“Our goals for this project were to modernize our manufacturing facility to enable faster customer delivery times, and to increase competitiveness through a more efficient use of space,” BTU International General Manager Rob DiMatteo said in a statement.
Avison Young’s Michael Dalton, Jason Levendusky and Jay Carnevale brokered the lease transaction, and Avison Young will provide project management services on the tenant buildout which will include high-bay manufacturing space.
