Joseph Ciabattoni recently joined Blue Hills Bank as vice president and branch manager of its newest location in Westwood.

Ciabattoni has more than 20 years of experience in banking, including stints at HSBC in Swansea and Bank Boston in Rhode Island. Most recently, he spent eight years in the Westwood community working as a branch manager at Santander Bank.

“Joe has a long standing connection with the Westwood community and a proven ability to lead his team members,” President and CEO William M. Parent said in a statement. “His commitment to customer service is well established and well suited for Blue Hills Bank’s emergence as the area’s new community bank.”

The bank’s branch at University Station in Westwood boasts a universal banker model, an open floor plan with state-of-the-art technology, and a discovery wall with financial literacy-themed games for children.
