Several local lending institutions affiliated with the Brockton Housing Partnership have sponsored local homeless families this holiday season.
The families were sponsored by Crescent Credit Union, The Community Bank, Dedham Savings Bank, HarborOne Credit Union, Mutual Bank, North Easton Savings Bank and Rockland Trust Co., according to a statement.
The families live at the former St. Patrick’s convent, which was converted into 13 two- and three-bedroom apartments. The building, now called The Brockton Family Life Center, helps the families save money and regain independence.
This year, the lenders in the Brockton Housing Partnership contributed funds to sponsor 17 families at the center, and four recently graduated families living in the Brockton community, according to a statement.
