Citizens Bank Foundation Donates $25K To Chelsea Neighborhood Developers

citizensbank The Citizens Bank Foundation has donated $25,000 to Chelsea Neighborhood Developers (CND) to support the agency’s latest program, Building Vibrant Chelsea Neighborhoods.

CND has housed 600 people this year in 219 units throughout Chelsea, according to a statement. The recent donation brings the total funds granted to CND by the bank since 2004 to $145,000. The funds were invested in several of CND’s affordable housing projects and financial education programs.

"We are honored to support such an important and progressive organization that is doing good work in the community," said Steve Woods, president of Citizens Bank, Massachusetts. "Affordable housing and financial education are two critical areas of investment for Citizens Bank. Chelsea has benefited crucially from the work of CND since it began operating in 1979."
