Newton-based CommonWealth REIT (CWH) has made changes to its senior management group, including electing a new president of its board of trustees.
Adam D. Portnoy has been elected president of CWH’s board of trustees, according to a statement. He will also continue in his role as a managing trustee for CWH.
Portnoy is replacing John A. Mannix, who resigned as president and chief investment officer in order to lead CWH’s acquisition efforts in Australia, according to a statement. Mannix will be relocating to Sydney, Australia and remains an executive vice president of Reit Management & Research LLC (RMR), CWH’s manager.
These changes are effective today.
