Boys and Girls Club
Save the Harbor/Save the Bay and the Boys and Girls Club took part in the fifth-annual Fan Pier Invitational Youth Fishing Tournament recently, which raised more than $10,000 to support Save the Harbor/Save the Bay’s youth environmental education programs.
Bristol County Savings Bank
Bristol County Savings Bank, through its Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation, awarded grants totaling $82,500 to nine New Bedford-Dartmouth and Fall River-area nonprofit organizations during a ceremony at White’s of Westport.
Dedham Institution for Savings Foundation
The Dedham Institution for Savings Foundation donating $5,000 to the annual Community and School Resource Golf Tournament, teaming up with the Dedham Police Department for the tournament. The funds will sponsor enrichment programs in Dedham Schools from the kindergarten grade level all the way through high school.
Mechanics Cooperative Bank
Mechanics Cooperative Bank distributed the 2015 Mechanics Cooperative Bank Scholarship Awards to Kate Romero of Raynham Regional High School, Alice Lynch of Taunton High School and Brian McDonald Jr. of BMC Durfee High School.
People’s United Bank
People’s United Community Foundation of Eastern Massachusetts, a People’s United Bank philanthropy, donated a $5,000 grant to the National Braille Press to contribute to its Great Expectations series. The program brings popular books to life with a multisensory approach to promote active reading experiences using songs, tactile play, picture descriptions, body movement and engaged listening, designed to promote active reading experiences for children with visual impairments.
Webster Five Cents Savings Bank
The Webster Five Foundation, as part of the Web of Caring to Make a Difference program, announced that the Strengthening Our Future capital campaign project at Harrington HealthCare at Webster has been completed with the help of the foundation’s $50,000 grant.
