BankGloucester will donate $20,000 to local organizations as part of its annual Banking for the Community donation program. The community will vote to determine how the funds are allocated.
Citizens Bank
Citizens Bank recently held Pops by the Sea, a concert in which the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra performs on the Hyannis Village Green for an audience of over 15,000 people. Proceeds from the concert go to the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, enabling it to fulfill its mission to support, promote and celebrate the arts and culture of Cape Cod year-round.
Citizens Bank CEO Bruce Van Saun and Massachusetts State President Quincy Miller were awarded keys to the city from Medford Mayor Michael J. McGlynn on behalf of the more than 400 Citizens Bank colleagues who work at the Medford Citizens Operations Center and volunteered hundreds of hours to help strengthen the Medford Community.
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares, the charitable foundation of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England, will host a golf tournament to benefit Lucy’s Love Bus on Sept. 22 at the Wedgewood Pines Country Club in Stow. Lucy’s Love Bus is a Boston-based nonprofit organization which strives to deliver comfort and quality of life to pediatric cancer patients by providing funds for free integrative therapies such as massage, acupuncture, art therapy and therapeutic horseback riding.
HarborOne Bank
HarborOne Bank donated $1,000 to the South Shore Conservancy’s ImagineARTS in support of their programming, which provide arts and literacy education to Brockton students at the Adult Learning Center Preschool, the Gilmore Early Childhood Center and the Barrett Russell Kindergarten Center.
HarborOne Bank also donated $2,500 to the Boys & Girls Club of Brockton earlier this month.
MutualOne Bank
MutualOne Foundation awarded $2,500 to Read to a Child program in Brophy and Woodrow Wilson elementary schools in Framingham. The lunchtime reading program in the two schools serves 95 students in grades one through four who are struggling with literacy.
RTN Federal Credit Union
RTN Federal Credit Union announced the 2015 recipients of its James A. Burley Jr. Scholarship Award. The monetary prizes totaling $10,000 are conferred annually to three college-bound students whose parents are Credit Union members.
RTN Federal Credit Union and Lowell Spinners teamed up recently for Kids Night Out to give children of RTN members from Waltham, Tewksbury, Lowell, Danvers and Amesbury, along with kids from Lawrence CommunityWorks the thrill of hanging out with the players before the game, watching the team warm up and running alongside the players as they took their field positions.
