Berkshire Bank

Employees of Boston-based Berkshire Bank recently came together with Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory to create care packages of clothing and other supplies for children in need. The donation was one of 37 projects completed as part of the bank’s annual Xtraordinary Day of Service, where the bank closes its offices early so employees can volunteer in their local communities. The event is in its fourth year.

Cornerstone Bank

Worcester-based Cornerstone Bank recently donated $2,500 to Rainbow Child Development Center, an organization that provides quality educational and therapeutic programs and services to more than 200 children and their families living in Worcester.

Country Bank

Ware-based Country Bank Country Bank recently awarded the YWCA of Central Massachusetts with a donation of $25,000 to support their $7.5 million capital campaign.

IC Federal Credit Union

Fitchburg-based IC Federal Credit Union awarded $1,500 scholarships to five college-bound seniors from the area.

Milford Bank

Milford Bank hosted its fifth annual Milford Moves 5K on June 16, raising over $20,000 to benefit local programs for the American Legion Post 196, the VFW Post 7788, the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 15 and the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 25.

MutualOne Bank

Framingham-based MutualOne Bank donated $5,000 to Daniel’s Table, a local nonprofit that provides food to those in need. The $5,000 grant was among awards totaling $59,500 in the foundation’s most recent round of funding.

Newburyport Bank

Newburyport Bank has donated $1,000 to Northern Essex Community College of Haverhill, to benefit the college’s 15th annual Signature Fundraising Event.

North Shore Bank

Peabody-based North Shore Bank has awarded two scholarships to recent Saugus High School graduates.

Rollstone Bank & Trust

Employees from Rollstone Bank & Trust rolled up their sleeves to help Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts with one of its home repair projects in Littleton this past weekend, replacing wallboard and insulation in a homeowner’s basement. This project is an extension of Rollstone’s donation of $10,000 to Habitat NCM earlier this year.

RTN Federal Credit Union

Waltham-based RTN Federal Credit Union organized its ninth annual Walk Home for the Homeless on June 9. Nearly 120 walkers, volunteers and staff participated, raising over $19,000 for the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless.

UniBank

Whitinsville-based UniBank recently announced that a $2,500 donation was provided to the Whitinsville Social Library. UniBank’s donation will be used by the library to fund the popular children’s summer reading program and corresponding events.
