Berkshire Bank

Berkshire Bank has donated a $7,000 to Soldier On. Additionally, Soldier On will receive a $25 donation for each open and active account on Veteran’s Day 2016.

 

Citizens Bank

Citizens Bank donated $10,000 to the Pine Street Inn in Boston, which provides comprehensive shelter, housing and job training services to homeless individuals.

 

Commerce Bank

Worcester Commerce Bank employees recently donated 88 coats to the Worcester Community Action Council’s annual new coat drive, which collects new coats, hats and mittens for children from limited-income families.

 

Eastern Bank

Eastern Bank recently honored Curt Rogers, Gregg Croteau and Lysetta Hurge-Putnam with the bank’s 2015 Community Advocacy Award. Rogers was recognized for his commitment to advocating for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault; Croteau for his commitment to empowering teens and reducing gang-related violence in the community; and Hurge-Putnam for her commitment to advocating for sexual and domestic violence victims in the Cape Cod area.

 

Florence Bank

Florence Bank has pledged $30,000 to the Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity over the next three years.

 

Hammond Residential Real Estate

Hammond Residential Real Estate will participate in the 23nd annual Community Servings “Pie in the Sky” bake sale to support the mission of Community Servings, which donates free home-delivered meals and a nutrition program for the critically ill in Massachusetts.

 

IC Federal Credit Union

IC Federal Credit Union has donated $8,636 to service-oriented organizations that area residents receive help from. A portion of the money came from coin machines as part of IC Federal Credit Union’s Change For Charity program.

 

Jack Conway, Realtor

Jack Conway, Realtor will make a $50 donation to one of five charities throughout its trading area every time a Conway agent puts a property under contract during “Conway Cares” month throughout November. Sales associates will choose which nonprofit group will receive the contribution each time they place a home under agreement.

 

Massachusetts Office For Victim Assistance

The Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance has awarded a $64,000 grant to DOVE (DOmestic Violence Ended) Inc. to establish an LGBQ/T outreach program and increasing supportive services for LGBQ/T victims and survivors of domestic violence in Norfolk and Plymouth counties.

 

SpencerBANK

SpencerBANK recently donated $2,000 to the YMCA of Central Massachusetts in support of the organization’s 150th Anniversary Capital Campaign, which will help the organization to expand its programming and services at their Central Community and Greendale Family branches in Worcester.

SpencerBANK also donated $500 to NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center of Central Massachusetts, a program of Oak Hill Community Development Corp. that provides homebuyer counseling, training and educational services to residents of Central Massachusetts. The donation will benefit the organization’s Financial Capability program and will be used to coach homeowners on how to improve their finances.

 

The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod

The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod is holding its second annual #GivingTuesday “Restock the Shelves” food drive throughout the month of November at each of its nine branch locations. The bank collect monetary donations for each of the local pantries their branches have adopted to support in conjunction with a traditional food drive. The bank will also match donations made by the community up to $1,000 per pantry.
